The Protea Hotel Umhlanga Ridge is situated in the secure environment of the Umhlanga New Town Centre opposite the Wavehouse and the Gateway Theatre of Shopping, where such facilities as movies, theatres, restaurants, shops and entertainment are all within very easy walking distance.
The conference facility is brand new and the usual standard that DEKS is known for.

Directions
From King Shaka International Airport via N2
Take the N2 South bound (towards the south coast and Port Shepstone)
Take the Umhlanga, Phoenix & Mt Edgecombe off ramp (M41)
Turn left at the traffic light; Take off-ramp to Umhlanga Rocks Drive (M12)
Turn left at traffic light
Go through first circle, at second circle turn left (Centenary Boulevard / Hickory Road)
At the next turning circle turn left (Palm Boulevard). The Hotel is on the left hand side on the corner of Palm and Centenary Boulevard.
